New Information on Fatal Baldwyn Wreck



BALDWYN, Miss. -- The woman killed in a Wednesday night wreck in Baldwyn has been identified as Ashley Scott, 24.  Investigators say it looks like she was trying to cross the highway when a car heading south slammed into her car.  Four children were hurt in that accident and taken to the hospital.

LEE COUNTY, Miss.-- An already fatal week on the Mississippi roadways took another turn for the worst on Wednesday night.

Another person lost their life in Lee county after dark during a two car collision according to the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal here.

The wreck happened in Balwdwyn and four others were injured and sent to the North Mississippi Medical Center.

No name has been released and we expect more details to come out Thursday.

This was the second violent crash in the county in only a span of 24 hours.

An 18-wheeler wreck in the early morning hours in Tupelo sent one man to the hospital after his car ended up crushed under the trailer.
 
He was later charged with DUI according to reports.  The investigation into the accident is still on going.
