Weather Changes Arrive

By: Knox Graham

JACKSON, Miss.-- After what seemed like spring time weather around the state for almost two weeks mother nature is back to normal.

The rain the moved through the area Monday and brought numerous tornados with it ushered in cold air on the backside of the front.

Meteorologist Latrice Maxie says, "For today is should be generally sunny in the area [Mississippi]."

And with the clear skies temperatures plummeted overnight. What can you expect today?

"For the most part today the high's today will be in the upper-40's to the low-50's around the state."

Clearly those numbers are much more indicative of normal December temperatures and tonight will be the same.

"For some areas we'll be looking at the upper-20's for the next two night," Maxie added.

The highs during the day will start to increase throughout the work-week and your next greatest chance for rain currently is Saturday.

Some models have a 60% or greater for rain during the weekend now.
