Mississippi Attracts Another Film

By: Knox Graham

JACKSON, Miss.-- Another movie will be filming inside the Mississippi borders soon.

"Rumors of Wars" is the title of the movie that has already filmed the first half of its storyline in Michigan.

Mississippi Film Office spokeswoman Nina Parikh said, "It is a faith based redemption thriller."

Residents will actually get their chance to try and work their way into the movie itself at a two different casting calls.

Those castings are Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. and Thursday from noon-4 p.m. at 120 Dyess Rd. in Ridgeland.

Parikh said there is going to be a pretty quick turn around with the action starting soon.

"In the next couple of weeks they'll start production and will probably be off for a bit during the holidays."

I wanted to know if there were already any well-known actors or actresses that were signed up for the film alreay.

Parikh noted, "I don't know they haven't released those names yet but I think their intentions are to have some recognizable faces."

The most recent other movie to film in the Jackson area was James Franco's version of  "As I lay Dying."
