Casting Calls for Movie Rumors of War

JACKSON, Miss. -- Has it ever been your dream to appear on the silver screen? Well, casting calls have been set for a new movie to be filmed in the Jackson area. I stopped by the Cabot Lodge in Ridgeland Wednesday where auditions for the movie, Rumors of War, were being held to find out more.

I spoke with Patrick Werksma, who is working on the movie. In Rumors of War a private military has taken over the world. Those that are not with the military are part of a resistance consisted of “faith based people” - Christians to be exact. He said it will be a faith-based movie, but will be geared more toward the secular community. He also told me the movie has two different story lines, a present day story line that was filmed in Michigan and the post apocalyptic one, which will be filmed in Jackson and the surrounding areas.

As of now they are looking to fill a few roles. Several roles are available such as a commander and other military types to members of an underground resistance and extras.

Auditions go on Wednesday until 8 p.m. and Thursday from noon to 4 p.m.
