Southaven Mayor Greg Davis Indicted

 

The details of that indictment are expected to be released later today.  Davis has been under state and federal investigation for allegedly misusing tax dollars.  In November of last year, the State Auditor’s office demanded Davis repay more than $170,000.  He has paid all of that except $70,000.  The Auditor’s office has been trying to garnish Davis’ check to recover the balance.

News Mississippi has learned Davis has been arrested and booked into the Desoto County jail on a nearly $4,000 bond.
