JACKSON, Miss.-- Gas has dipped below $3/gallon in Mississippi for the first time in months.
The average price of a gallon of gass dropped just about a nickel overnight to bring it to $2.98.
July was actually the last time gas was below $3/gallon in the magnolia state.
The high supply coupled with less demand during the winter months has continued to drop prices.
According to AAA the price drop throughout these months is typical and to be expected.
Corinth has the lowest gas prices in the state at $2.69 at one station according to www.gasbuddy.com and Hernando has the most expensive at $3.39.
