DESOTO COUNTY, Miss.-- Several voting irregularities have been reported to the authorities regarding the November 6th general election from DeSoto County.
Election Commission Chairman Paul Beale said six cases have been turned over to the authorities and that includes the FBI.
He commented on one of the irregularities.
"One guy came in and registered who was a convicted felon, and in doing so he was disenfranchised from voting"
That wasn't the only problem that was prevalent multiple times on that Tuesday.
"Another irregularity was that some people just came in and voted under other peoples' names," Beale added.
He confessed that there's only one-way to fix the problems at hand in his mind.
"Without voter ID we cannot correct this problem."
Beale said the likelihood of anyone getting caught and convicted is very slim in these cases because it's very hard to prove someone was present and committed a crime without having cameras and such to document the fraud.
