JACKSON, Miss. -- Some of you still making your way home for the holidays.
And for many of you that means, boarding a plane at Mississippi’s largest airport.
“We’ll looking at roughly about 23,056 people coming through the airport this Christmas day,” said Ron Marsalis, head of airport security. “As compared to last Christmas, 17,038. So we do have an upswing in traffic.”
Marsalis tells me there are a few things you can do to avoid being pulled out of line by one of his security officers. “Make sure you have an ID; a government issued ID. Along with that, check your personal items. Check your check baggage and your carry on baggage. Look for prohibited items that will not be allowed through the check point,” he explained.
You should also check for any delays before heading to the airport, get there early and be patient.
