JACKSON, Miss.--Rain is back for Thursday night, Fiday and friday night for Mississippi. Forecasts have rain beginning overnight in the north and the Delta, then migrating south to give the entire state a rainy start to the weekend all day Friday. Temperatures will vary from the north to the southern two thirds of the state.
North Mississippi was not expected to make it out of the 40s for Friday, while the central part of the state was expected to make it to 59. In south Mississippi and on the coast, 65 is the expected high.
Rain will likely last through the night on Friday and be gone by early Saturday. Temps will stay on the cold side after the rain passes through.
Saturday's highs are expected at 39 in north Mississippi, with 26 for the low Saturday night. Central Mississippi will see a high of 44 Saturday, with the low dipping into the upper 20s. South and the coast will see mid 50s, with a low at the freezing mark.
Temps will begin to moderate by Sunday and Monday. South Mississippi and the coast will see the warmest weather, with 62 for a high Monday.
