HELENA, Miss. -- A large pot bust in Helena nets a brother and sister behind bars. Officials from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said they found over 100 marijuana plants growing in the garage of 37-year-old Lee Holloman and 39-year-old Amanda James after acting on a tip Thursday.
Drug agents estimate the plants are valued at $200,000 but at maturity could have been valued at half a million dollars.
There was also a 15-year-old living in the house who was taken away by The Department of Human Services, which has also opened a child neglect investigation.
Both siblings could face up to 30 years each in prison, and a $1 million fine if convicted.
