Special Election Today to Replace McGee in House Dist. 59

BRANDON, Miss.--If your legislative representative was Kevin McGee, it's time to head to the polls today in House District 59 to elect a new rep. Scot Allen, Benny Hubbard, Bradley Lum and Brent Powell qualified to appear on the ballot.

McGee resigned last year after ethics violations. He paid a $10,000 fine and agreed not to run for the state legislature again.

The State Ethics Commission has found McGee voted on state contracts that eventually went to his family’s Rankin County painting business.
