JACKSON, Miss. -- You now have a new US Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi.
Gregory Davis took the Oath of Office during a Thursday Investiture Ceremony. “The three words that best describe my emotions when the opportunity to serve became a reality are blessed, honored and humbled,” he told a crowd of his supporters, co-workers, family and friends.
U. S. Attorney Eric Holder was among those speaking at Davis’ Investiture. He said Davis had built a reputation of not only winning cases, but also establishing justice and was well qualified for the position. “You will always have an unwavering support of the justice department senior leadership, starting with me,” he told Davis. “I am proud to share this moment with you; and to count you as a college and as a partner.”
Davis said among his priorities, keeping your communities save and protecting you from identity thieves.
