Trial Date Set for Southaven's Mayor

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Southaven Mayor Greg Davis is scheduled to be in court. April 8th.

That’s when Davis will enter a plea to charges of embezzlement and false pretense.  A three-count indictment accusing him of embezzling your tax dollars by using a city gas card to fill up his personal car and improperly using his city leased car.  The false pretense charge involves a $1,000 check Davis got from the city for a donation that was meant for a political action committee at Mississippi State.  Investigators say that group never got the donation.
 
Davis is free on bond.  His trial is set for April 30.
