HATTIESBURG, Miss.--Unseasonably warm temps continue for Friday in central and south Mississippi. Some parts of the southern third of the state could reach 75 degrees, according to National Weather Service predictions.
While the Jackson area has a chance for rain, it's mostly sunny in Hattiesburg. Temperatures were expected to drop slightly for Saturday, but come back to the mid 70s by Sunday and stay that way until at least Tuesday.
A system is expected in the state by Tuesday and Wednesday that could bring a strong severe weather event. Temps were expected to be back in the 50s by Thursday.
