ECRU, Miss.--Car haulers normally carry some very valuable cargo-new cars for dealerships. But the car hauler stopped by state and local law enforcement Monday on Hwy. 15 in Ecru had in it something that was worth more than maybe five or six car haulers complete with the cars-$646,000 in cash.

The cash was in a duffle bag that was hidden in the hauler. The cash was wrapped in plastic. While the driver was let go, the money was not.

The Mississippi Bureau of narcotics is trying to find out where the money came from and where it was headed.
