GREENVILLE, Miss.--Power was out in multiple locations and there was physical damage to buildings as a line of storms moved through Mississippi overnight. Strong winds associated with severe thunderstorms knocked down limbs and power lines in several locations. The majority of outages reported by Entergy were in the Delta. At least 4,000 customers were without power in the state.
About 100 customers were affected in the Greenville area. Eighty of those were in Leland where wind blew the roof from Lillo's Restaurant.
In east Mississippi, a furniture store took the brunt of wind damage in Tupelo (left-Tweeted out by WTVA). The entire store front was blown off. WTVA reported that at around 2:30 wind damaged several businesses along McCullough Blvd.
Many places in the state were dealing with flood warnings after heavy rain associated with the storms.
Temperatures were falling as the front moved through, with areas from Memphis to Jackson already dropping twenty degrees into the 50s.
