PIKE COUNTY, Miss.--Richard Maples escaped Saturday night. The Dept. of Corrections says he got out of a Community Work Center in McComb. But, he has distinct tattoos and that could mean a quick capture. Maples is white, 6'1", 180 lbs., with green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing his stripes-that's the state-issued prison uniform of green and white strped pants and a white shirt.
His tattoos include a five-point star on his hand, a footprint on his back, if you happen to see him with his shirt off, and "RG" on his left arm, with flames.
Maples is from Jones County and was in for convictions of residential burglary, vehicle burglar, identity theft and credit card fraud. He was serving seven years.
