JACKSON, Miss.--Former Jackson city councilman Marshand Crisler is leading in the race to replace Alice Harden in the Mississippi Senate. But, he's not the clear winner and that means a run-off.
Crisler had 25 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results. Sollie B. Norwood had 23 percent and Harden's niece, Tamarra Grace Butler, had 22 percent. The three will face off Feb. 26.
Harden held the Dist. 28 seat for 24 years before she died in late 2012. She was an advocate for public education and was the first female African-American in the Senate.
