JACKSON, Miss.--Hattiesburg and most of south Mississippi and the coast were continuing to get moderate to heavy rainfall Thursday morning. The rain was expected to continue for a good portion of the day, with chances sticking around for Thursday night and possibly Friday for central and south Mississippi.

After a break on Saturday for most of the state, rain was expected to return on Sunday, with thunderstorms possible Sunday evening and Sunday night.

The forecast for next week also shows a rainy pattern, with chances at leadt until Wednesday.
