JACKSON, Miss.--News Mississippi's Facebook users are reacting to the announcement by the U.S. Postal Service that Saturday mail delivery will stop in August. It comes as a cost-saving measure and is expected to save at least $2 billion annually. Packages will still be delivered six days a week.
Here are some of your thoughts:
It will give me more time for other important things such as cleaning house because I won't have to use one hour going through it to discard and scread junk mail
Less junk mail
When I'm expecting something, yes otherwise, no effect at all
None at all !!! I seldom check my mailbox now !! I hate seeing bills !! Haha
I think when something important is expected then it will postpone delivery but I think businesses will also have to give a little more grace periods when expecting bulls in the mail instead of 3-5 days. Just my thoughts on it. I'm just more upset for the people that only worked weekends to help get extra money to feed their family. Now what are they gonna do
not at all, netflix is the only thing I ever receive in the mail that I am glad to see. I hate junk mail, and almost everything that ends up in my box.
