Missing Hinds County Woman Discovered in Pennsylvania

By: Knox Graham

HINDS COUNTY, Miss.—The family of a Mississippi woman missing for over two years finally has closure as to her unfortunate whereabouts.

The Pennsylvania State Police informed the family of 38-year-old Teresa Mae Ware that she was indeed deceased.

“They were able to find out who it was from the DNA samples that were submitted.”

DNA run at the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification matched up with a body found in Perry County, PA in 2010.

And he said there are more questions than answers now surrounding the death.

“Teresa Ware went missing back in April 2010 and as far as we know the last person she was in the company of was a commercial truck driver from Pennsylvania,” said Trooper Robert Hicks of the Pennsylvania State Police.

The police have no answers as to how she died, who did it, or frankly how she ended up in Pennsylvania in the first place.  This is the first break in the two-year case that finally has a bit of direction now.

Hicks said the PSP hope more answers will come out in the coming months.
