Wildlife Tasting Supper in Corinth Tuesday

By: Knox Graham

CORINTH, Miss.—Wild game dishes of all sorts will be on display tonight in Corinth for the Wildlife Tasting Supper.

Spokeswoman for the event Sandy Mitchell said they’re expecting about 600 people at the event.

“It’s a big family event,” she said.  “That’s one thing that we really advertise.”

There should be plenty of food to fit everyone’s taste at the Crossroads Arena according to Mitchell.

“We have seven categories of the different dishes.”

And those categories are everything that one could imagine.  On tap are: antlered, land critter, water critter, feathered, desserts, chili and hunting club.  For the people that don’t like wild game she said there will be hotdogs and other items to eat.

Prizes are going to be handed out to numerous people throughout the night also.

“We have a lot of door prizes and over 80 local sponsors.”

Those door prizes include at least two guns and one utility trailer to hook up to a vehicle.

This will be the 28th annual event to be held and Mitchell said it’s easy to see why it’s a success

“They can display their talent.”

That talent will be put to the test starting at 6 p.m.  The admission is $10 for adults and free if you bring a dish.
