TUPELO, Miss.--Big weather changes happened overnight in the state with the arrival of the cold front that powered severe weather. That front had dropped temperatures, but it's another front on Wednesday that's expected to make an even bigger impact.
Though most of the state will see low 60s for highs on Wednesday and dip down into the mid 50s for Thursday, north parts of the state will see even colder temps.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with a high at 54. Thursday and Friday are likely to be mid 40s days, with Saturday's high at 40 in Tupelo. There's also a chance there could be some flurries. Lows may dip down below freezing.
For the rest of Mississippi it will be warmer, with highs remaining in the low 50s or upper 40s for Saturday. No wintry precip is expected anywhere else.
