MENDENHALL, Miss. -- A former Mendenhall Police Chief has been arrested at his home today by the FBI. Donald Barlow is charnged with extortion and witness tampering.
Daniel McMullen, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Mississippi, said in a written statement to News Mississippi: "Corrupt activities, such as those alleged to have been committed by former police chief Barlow, serve to erode the public's confidence in law enforcement. Citizens have the right to expect law enforcement officers to adhere to high standards of conduct while also providing high standards of service."
Barlow served as Police Chief unitl October 2010.
