JACKSON, Miss. – A Mississippi punk band is caught in a rut. Their tour van was stolen in the capital city with some of their equipment still inside. JD Burns is a member of Coffin Breath; he says several other bands also use the van.
“Our van is our way of getting around town, but its also our way of getting out of town and being able to play in Hattiesburg, Tennessee, and other places around the south,” said Burns.
The van is not easy to miss. It is a white ’95 Chevy Vandura with an air-conditioning unit. The back of the van is also covered with stickers. Above the two back doors it say the word “DOOM.” Inside the van were two amps: a vintage Marshal 4x10 guitar cab with a basket weave grill and Vintage Peavey 6x10 bass cab.
