Investigators: Facebook Messages Led to TV Weatherman's Arrest

JACKSON, Miss.--Facebook messages indicated WLBT weatherman Eric Law had sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl, say investigators working the case. Law was arrested last week on two counts of sexual battery and two counts of gratification of lust and is free on $200,000 bond.

According to WLBT's own reports, its weekend meteorologist, who lives in Madison, had the girl over to his house, where she spent the night. The girl is from Rankin County.

Investigators said when the girl was interviewed she said Law took her to a room in his house called the "law and order room", where the intimate contact occurred.

WLBT's news director, Wilson Stribling, said Law is suspended until further notice. His bio and picture have been taken down from the station's website.
Law, 32, is married but has no children. He has been at WLBT since 2004.
