JACKSON, Miss. – A Homicide investigation underway. It happened in the early morning hours Thursday leaving one dead, another in the hospital. Capital city police were on the scene.
Police first intercepted the crime at the Wal-Mart on Highway 18 at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. According to police, James Shaffer, 40, had been shot 4 times and drove himself there. Shaffer now sits at a local hospital.
Hours later another body was found. A neighbor called police around 8 a.m. and told them about a body lying in the driveway of a home. The body has been identified as 40-year-old Twong Bradley. He died of a shotgun wound to the head.
Police say the two victims were together when gunfire from a semi automatic weapon was opened on them. According to WAPT 15 shell casings were found on the scene.
So far police have not found a suspect. If anyone has information about the shooting, call the police or Crime Stoppers.
