There’s no better way to escape the high temperatures this weekend than heading to your local movie theater. The three newest wide releases are:
If I Stay – this is the story of a young girl whose biggest problem is choosing which school to attend, until one fateful afternoon. Her family is in a tragic car accident and she is caught between life and death. She must make the decision whether or not she has the will to survive.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For – It’s been about 10 years since the prequel Sin City was released. It’s basically the story of a flawed man who can’t help but get involved with the damsel in distress. The unusual twist to this classic plot is the Rated R violent manner in which it’s told. If you liked the first movie, this is more of the same.
When the Game Stands Tall is based on a true story. When a 12-year winning streak comes to an end, a football coach and his team must figure out how to go on. This is a faith-based movie and seems to be appropriate for all ages. It is rated PG for one scene of violence (a shooting at a party) and some cigarette smoking. The cast is impressive, including Jim Caviezel as the coach and Laura Dern as his wife.
Tune in Friday morning to the Paul Gallo Show and I’ll keep YOU in the movie loop!
