This Weekend with Tanya T – April 11, 2014

It’s the most, wonderful time of the year!  Memorial Day is right around the corner – which means lots of big movies for you to see now through the summer.   Captain America – The Winter Soldier is knocking out April box office records right now, and this weekend there is at least one new release that might just knock Cap off his perch:

Rio 2In Rio 2,  Blu and Jewel now have 3 kids and after learning some of Jewel’s old clan of macaws have been discovered, the family takes a trip to the Amazon to be with them.  This animated film is rated G and stars the voices of Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg and Bruno Mars.  If it’s time for your family to get Frozen out of your system, this is your movie.

If the opening of Major League baseball isn’t enough sports action for you, check out Draft Day.  Rated PG-13 , this movie drops you into the intense action of an NFL draft day.  Kevin Costner stars as the general manager of the Cleveland Browns who wants to build the team he wants.  Everyone around him questions his decisions, but will they pay off? Jennifer Garner and Denis Leary also star.

If paying to be scared is your thing, then Oculus is my pick for you.  This Rated R Horror story is about two siblings haunted by a childhood tragedy.  And there is a freaky mirror involved.  The movie stars Brenton Thwaites and Karen Gillan and is not for the weak-hearted.

This Friday morning – Kipp, Perez and I will talk about these movies and I’ll review Captain America – The Winter Soldier.  Tune in every Friday to the Paul Gallo Show, and I’ll keep YOU in the movie loop!
