Happy Easter! I hope that you have a long weekend to celebrate and to spend a couple of hours at the movies. New this weekend:
Heaven is for Real, based on the best selling book of the same name, is about a 4-year old boy (Colton) who says he saw heaven during a near-death experience. When he begins to recall the people and things he saw – things he couldn’t have known about otherwise – his family and community begin to believe him. I have one word for you – TISSUES. I’ve cried every time I see the trailer. Rated PG, this movie stars Greg Kinnear, Kelly Reilly, Thomas Haden Church and the extremely precious Connon Corum as Colton.
Finally, there’s a new Johnny Depp movie. And bonus – Morgan Freeman co-stars! Transcendence is about an artificial intelligence researcher who is shot by extremists who are against his advancement of technology. In order to save his life, his wife and best friend use unusual methods to try and save his life. Kata Mara and Paul Bettany also star. Rated PG-13.
Because of Good Friday, I’ll stop by the studio tomorrow (Thursday) to talk about Rio 2 with Paul. Be sure to listen then, and each Friday morning to the Gallo Radio Show, and I’ll keep YOU in the movie loop!
