This weekend, there are two new movies you can check out at the cinema:
300: Rise of an Empire is a follow up to the 2007 surprise hit, 300. This installment takes place before, during and after the events of the first film. Greek general Themistokles leads the charge against invading Persian forces, where there is sure to be lots of swords and decapitations. If you liked the first 300, you’ll likely enjoy this one, too. It’s also in 3-D and rated R for violence.
Just in time for spring break is a more family-friendly option – Mr. Peabody & Sherman. Rated PG, this animated feature is a re-boot of the 1960’s character who appeared in between Rocky & Bullwinkle and Dudley Do-Right cartoons. While trying to impress a girl at school, Sherman activates Mr. Peabody’s WABAC (way-back) machine, which launches them into a time-travel adventure. Also, in 3-D.
On Friday’s Gallo, we’ll talk about this week’s #1 movie – Non-Stop, and I’ll give you my rating.
Tune in every Friday and I’ll keep YOU in the movie loop!
