Wednesday weather rundown: 5-24-17 rain on the way out

more rain thruout your day, but there is hope for your holiday weekend.

North Mississippi seeing some heavy showers with thunderstorms rolling thru the area this morning. The north delta feeling the heaviest storms, but this system is moving eastward across the state to bring even more rain to areas like Tupelo and Columbus. Expect showers all day, and more tonight.

Central Mississippi finally catching a break after a night-long deluge. The Pine Belt still seeing some popup showers, but as the morning advances, your chances for rain drop off considerably, with a stiff wind blowing in behind to help you dry out. Little on the cooler side today: your high only barely breaking into the lower 70s. That’s gonna change quickly for your weekend, tho: tomorrow hitting 80, Friday hitting 90.

South Mississippi already coming out from underneath those scattered showers: you’re climbing thru the 70s to reach a high near 80 today. look for clear skies and mild temperatures in the lower 80s today and tomorrow.
