TUPELO, Miss. — A Pontotoc man is facing a murder charge for the death of his on-again off-again girlfriend.
The victim’s name was not immediately released, but her body was found inside a Motel 6 room in Tupelo Thursday night by officers responding to a domestic violence call. They said she had been stabbed multiple times. Billy Copeland had already left the motel on foot by the time investigators got there. He was caught Friday morning.
