Authorities Looking for Vehicle that Ran Anthony Hervey Off the Road

OXFORD, Miss.- Upon completion of the investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, they’re asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle. When Hervey died on Sunday in a car crash on his way back from a Confederate Flag rally, he had a passenger in his ’05 Ford Explorer with him.

Juliette Barnum was the passenger, and she told investigators that the reason the Explorer swerved off the road was because a silver vehicle occupied by 5 black males was following their vehicle and swerved towards them but did not make contact.

Hervey was known for being the author of “Why I Wave the Confederate Flag: Written by a Black Man.”

If you have any information about the silver vehicle, please call 662-563-6415.
