Authorities searching for two Florida escapees

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss.- Rankin County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two escapees from Florida.

James Thomas Bank, 28, and Micahel Andrew Rotunno, 30, escaped from a Florida prisoner transport.

Police believe that one of those individuals is now driving a 2002 black Ford F350 that was stolen from a shed at a home on Shiloh Road.

The license plate reads 1AP590.

The owners of the vehicle were not harmed.

Rankin County police believe the men are in the state after a vehicle was pulled over after officers ran the tag and found that it was a stolen vehicle from Florida. One man fled from the car immediately while the other tried to drive away only to crash on highway 43 and run into the woods.

The manhunt then began for the two people who police say have an extensive criminal history and were headed to Jackson, Minnesota to face trail.

Their pictures are shown above with Banks on the left and Rotunno on the right.

If you see them do not approach them instead call 911.
