PIKE COUNTY, Miss. –He is considered armed and dangerous; and he is on the run.
Douglas Stevenson should be in jail serving a 50 year sentence for kidnapping a woman and raping her at gunpoint. But he has been released from the Pike County jail by mistake.
His brother Fernandes was in jail too, on a drug court contempt warrant. Fernandes Stevenson was supposed to be released Monday. But Douglas Steverson impersonated him and was released instead. Pike County’s Chief Deputy Steve Rushing says they are taking steps to make sure this doesn’t happen again.
