YAZOO COUNTY, Miss. – There was a shootout and a high speed chase from Madison County to Yazoo County after deputies got a call about a possible burglary in Flora Monday.According to Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker, when deputies showed up at the house the three accused burglars opened fire and deputies fired back.
The three were eventually able to get away in a black SUV. When they got just outside of Yazoo City on Highway 49 their getaway had a mechanical failure. All three men are in custody. One of them had to be treated at University of Mississippi Medical Center for injuries. No names released yet.
