PRAIRIEVILLE, La. – A Yazoo, Mississippi man was electrocuted and died in Louisiana Thursday after he apparently came into contact with overhead power lines while working in an elevated boom truck.
Investigators said Courtney Jones, 38, who worked for Cable Works, was using a weighted rope to string new cable through heavy vegetation alongside the road when he touched the energized power line. He was about 30 feet in the air in when the accident occurred around 11 a.m.
