Car Thieves Open Fire on Clinton Homeowner

CLINTON, Miss.- When a man in Clinton heard a disturbance outside of his home and went outside to investigate, there were three men trying to break into his car. It happened around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning on Twin Oaks Drive.

Clinton Police Chief Mike Warren told WAPT-TV that at least one of the burglars started shooting at the homeowner. One bullet hit the car and at least one other hit the house, where his wife and two children were inside.

Clinton Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
