Casting Call Saturday for New Movie in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss.- Ever dreamt of being an actor? This could be your chance. There’s a casting call for “The Hollars,” a romantic comedy directed by and starring John Krasinski in Jackson on Saturday.

“The Office” star was spotted around Jackson last month scouting the area for his new film, which also stars Anna Kendrick from “Pitch Perfect”, Richard Jenkins from “Six Feet Under” and Margo Martindale who played in “August: Osage County”. Jackson’s Tom Rice is set to produce the movie.

The story centers on John Hollar (Krasinski) who leaves NYC to return to his Middle America hometown just before his mother is to have critical surgery. He is reunited with family and old friends.

The casting call will be open to the public from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Ice House Alley Warehouses, 251 West South St. The Morgan Casting Facebook page says the open call is for day player roles and also for extras. They will need a lot of extras, men and women of all ages and all ethnic backgrounds.
