RIDGELAND, Miss. — A coaching husband and wife are facing child sex charges. Michael and Blair Porter of Brandon used to be coaches at Ridgeland schools, but now they are no longer employed.
The victim was on the softball team coached by Michael at Ridgeland High School. Investigators say they have evidence of texts back and forth between the student and the couple, including naked pictures. The victim also says sexual incidents happened at the couple’s house and at the school’s softball complex.
Michael is in jail on a $25,000 bond. Blair’s bond was set at $5,000.
They could each get 30 years in prison if convicted.
