Couple Stay Together Until Bitter Legal End, Co-Defendants say Not Guilty to Killing Dancer

KENNER, LA – The man charged in the 2012 death of a Bourbon Street dancer whose body parts washed ashore on a Hancock County Mississippi beach has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and obstruction of justice charges.

Terry Speaks is accused of committing the murder with his girlfriend Margaret Sanchez.  He was extradited to Louisiana from New York last week after serving time on an unrelated charge and appeared in court Monday. Sanchez entered her not guilty plea in August.  Prosecutors plan to try the two separately.  A motion hearing is scheduled for November 17.
