GULFPORT, Miss. – A Saucier man has been arrested for allegedly kicking his 9-year-old stepson’s genitals and forcing him to eat dog food and drink toilet water.
Nathan Simmons, 32, was charged with felony child abuse. The affidavit said the boy was made to undress and get on his back with his legs spread and was kicked in the genitals. Mississippi Department of Human Services workers who interviewed the boy said it happen at least five times; and that Simmons told the child he would kill him if he told anyone. The boy has been placed in the care of another family member.
Simmons has waived his right for a preliminary hearing. His case has been bound over to the next session of a Harrison County grand jury.
