Cruisn’ the Coast is taking place down on the coast and Biloxi officials are saying that they are expecting record-breaking numbers of attendees this year.
The best thing about cruisin’ the coast is that this is the best-kept secret in America, south Mississippi,” said George Chaix of the Biloxi Police Department. “You come to cruisin’ the coast, every city on the Gulf Coast has some type of event. We like to think that living here in Biloxi is the best event, that’s a little bit selfish on our part to say, but equally spread apart. All of the events on the coast, we welcome everybody from the United States, we welcome the people down here and once again this is the best-kept secret in America.”
Chaix said that they are expecting more than 8,000 cars and 100,000 people and added that he has met people from Washington state and Nebraska who made it down for the week-long event.
Cruisin’ the Coast will continue to run through Sunday.
