JONES COUNTY, MISS– Republican candidate for president Ted Cruz has cancelled his appearance scheduled for Jones County Junior College today.
Senator Chris McDaniel is the co-chair for Cruz’s campaign in Mississippi. Here’s what he had to say about the cancellation in a statement released Sunday:
“Unfortunately, I just received a call from the national campaign chairman. The event at JCJC has been cancelled. Ted Cruz will not be in Mississippi tomorrow, as he evidently does not feel well. This is difficult news to deliver, but we trust that God has a plan for the campaign and for Mississippi.
I wish you all the best.”
The presidential primaries are Tuesday, March 8th.
