“Who Dak” Answered by Bulldogs’ Rank, and Latest SI Shows It

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State’s football team is on the regional cover of Sports Illustrated for the second straight week, and the must-have keepsakes are flying off the racks.

The October 20 issue shows Quarterback Dak Prescott breaking free from a tackle in last Saturday’s win over Auburn.  And the cover story is titled, “1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi: The Bulldogs Are Now The Top Dog, and Polls Be Damned, The Rebels Belong Right Behind Them.”

The Bulldogs (6-0) were featured on the magazine’s cover for the first time in history last week.  But shared the honor with Ole Miss, which was the Rebels’ fifth such selection.

Sports Illustrated said fans outside of Mississippi, or those who cannot find copies in stores, can order the magazine featuring Dak Prescott online at http://backissues.si.com/storefront/cBackissuesSI2014-p1.html

This one could be a real keeper for Prescott fans.  He told Sports Illustrated he would consider leaving MSU after his junior season for the NFL.  Prescott has 23 touchdowns this season and has set the school’s record for all-purpose t-ds combined.  Leading the nation’s number one team, he is now considered one of the front-runners for the coveted Heisman trophy.
