Danny Downgraded, Could Dissipate, News Mississippi Still Watching

MIAMI, Fla.–Danny, once a cat 3 hurricane, was downgraded to a tropical storm Sunday. Early Monday it was downgraded to a depression. It was no longer considered a potential threat to the U.S. mainland after it hit drier air. Meteorologists expected the storm to fall apart.

News Mississippi was continuing to watch the storm for any reformation once it travels across Puerto Rico and Cuba, where it was expected to dump heavy rain.

Forecasters expected the storm to dissipate and not be a factor in Mississippi’s weather.
