Finding a dead body and turning a blind eye could cost you a ‘General Grant’. House Bill 714, which has already been fast-tracked to B committee, would make it a misdemeanor, bearing a fine of up to fifty bucks, if you see a dead body and don’t alert authorities. In the language of the bill…”Failure to report such finding in a timely manner shall result in a fine, in an amount of not more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00).”
If passed…the ‘Dead Body Bill’ as it’s been casually dubbed…would take effect July first.
