Election Day: No Problems From the Weather, Sunny to Partly Sunny, Rain Wednesday

JACKSON, Miss.–It’s Election Day and if you were looking for an excuse not to go out and do your civic duty, the weather is definitely no excuse. Even though it is expected to be beautiful today, Wednesday is another matter.

“The weather looks ideal for voting,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Eric Carpenter. “We’re looking at mostly sunny skies, maybe partly sunny skies, temperatures getting up into the 70s and no chance for rain.”

Expect more clouds north.

“Tomorrow looks a little bit different. We’re looking for a front to move into the area.”

He said that will bring rain chances, with the possibility of heavy downpours, to the state.

“We’ll be definitely gearing up for some rain, some much-needed rain, for a lot of the area.”

Expect that later in the day Wednesday. By Friday it’s cooler, with highs in the low 60s.
