MERIDIAN, Miss. – The Meridian soldier killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan two weeks ago will be laid to rest Saturday.
A funeral service for Specialist Terry Gordon will be held earlier that day at Quitman High School, where he graduated in 2011.
The body of the 21-year-old arrived home New Year’s day and was escorted to Gardner Funeral Home by the Patriot Guard Riders. Dozens of people lined the procession route to pay their respects.
